Before you go

  • Namba provides access to Dotonbori.
  • Shinsaibashi’s shopping arcade connects toward Ebisubashi bridge.
  • Save your return station and keep paths clear when taking photos.
Find the area, then wander

Namba is a useful starting point for Dotonbori. Check which Namba station your route uses, then follow current local signs toward the area. This guide gives the relationship between places, not a turn-by-turn route from a particular gate.

Connect street and bridge

Shinsaibashi’s shopping arcade leads toward Ebisubashi bridge in Dotonbori. You can use these named places to orient yourself without assuming every shopping street is the riverfront. Check the name of the place you want to reach.

Make space for everyday life

Stop where you can take a photograph without blocking the pavement, shop entrance or the flow across a bridge. Follow signs about photography and access. Store names, displays and opening conditions can change; do not use a photograph alone as current business information.

Before leaving the area, reopen your saved route and confirm the operator and full name of the station you need for the journey back.
