Getting there

The official Shiga tourism page lists about 15 minutes by car from JR Kawake Station. Arrange a regular taxi; this is not a scheduled bus. The old Kohakucho bus stop was discontinued in 2018. The 2026 demand-responsive Kohakucho taxi is a different registration-and-reservation service, not a walk-up visitor bus.
