Hotei Great Buddha: a giant face above the neighbourhood

A spring photograph brings crossing signals into alignment with a giant Buddha’s face. Enjoy the composition, then discover this landmark in Konan.

Aichi’s tourism guide describes an 18-metre concrete statue built by an individual. In this photograph, crossing signals line up with its face like glasses. Comparing the branches with the statue’s outline is our suggested way to explore the photograph.
