Sunset silhouettes of Mizushima industrial buildings across the small-boat harbour at Kojima Unozu.
Kojima Unozu harbour and the Mizushima industrial waterfront, photographed 18 May 2024. Sunset colour and vessels vary; not a live view.

Kojima Unozu Coast

A small harbour faces Mizushima’s industrial waterfront. Boats, steel structures and water reflections create a different view from the hillside panorama. Keep to the designated viewing/parking side and respect working harbour users.

Current visiting conditions

Use the right-hand viewing/parking side. The mountain on the left is private and off-limits. Do not obstruct harbour work or traffic; this is not access to industrial premises or moored vessels.

A sunset record from 18 May 2024. Colours, vessels and infrastructure details can differ today. Location and skyline correspondence with the 2026 prefectural guide was checked, not every present structure or unrestricted access.

Getting there

Use a car or arrange a taxi from JR Kojima or Kurashiki; the official prefectural guide says public transport is difficult and introduces reservable sightseeing taxis from both stations. Request Kojima Unozu Coast specifically. Use the right-hand viewing/parking area; the mountain on the left is private and off-limits. No journey time is asserted.
