Twin towers and an orange bridge span cross Lake Kuzuryu beneath wooded hills, recorded in the November 2024 survey.

Current visiting conditions

These are 12 November 2024 survey photographs, not a current foliage, snow or bridge-access guarantee. Do not stop on the road for photographs.

September disruption information was superseded by the 5 October 2026 full-line reopening. However, limited maintenance cancellations are listed for 10–13 November. Check the exact train; no all-service guarantee is made.

Getting there

Hakogase Bridge is a separate location upstream of Kuzuryu Dam. Fukui’s official tourism page gives roughly 120 minutes by car from JR Fukui Station via the Chubu-Jukan Expressway. Rail visitors arriving at Kuzuryuko Station still need onward transport; this is not a short station-front stroll. A station-to-bridge distance and year-round direct bus have not been verified from primary sources, so neither is stated. The local tourism bureau advises booking taxis. Check road restrictions, snow and the return journey in advance.
