Carve an Ise-Katagami Bookmark in Suzuka

What you will do
Carve a stencil-paper bookmark, then explore the hall’s Ise-katagami and Suzuka ink displays. A small piece introduces the precise handwork behind patterned textiles.

Walk about 10 minutes east from Tsuzumigaura Station on the Kintetsu Nagoya Line.

Before you choose a date
Closures: Closed Mondays, or the following day when Monday is a public holiday. New Year closure: December 28–January 4. No separate winter reduction in hours is stated.
Language: An English introductory video is available. Foreign-language workshop instruction is unverified.
- Recommended for grade 4 and older; younger children require adult accompaniment.
- Accessible entrance/toilet, wheelchair loan and accessible parking are listed. Confirm whether the activity workstation fits your needs.
- Cancel group reservations at least one week ahead. Within one week or for a no-show, the workshop cost is charged unless exceptional circumstances apply.
- Ise-katagami demonstrations are listed for Sundays 10:00–12:00 and 13:00–15:00; demonstrations are separate from your own activity.

One bookmark ¥200 including tax; museum admission free. Groups of 10+ using a training room pay an additional ¥1,650 per half-day, or ¥1,980 with heating/air conditioning.
