Dye a Natural-Indigo Handkerchief at Art Labo KASURI
Pause on the street below Matsuyama Castle to explore the indigo associated with Iyo kasuri. Tie, dye and untie your cloth to reveal a pattern, then connect it with the nearby displays of the region’s textile craft.

What you will do
Tie a prepared cloth, dye it with natural indigo, rinse and remove the ties, then receive your finished piece. The history gallery explains Iyo kasuri production and patterns such as lattice and cross motifs.
Time: About 60 minutes for indigo dyeing; allow extra time for the gallery and moving between spaces.
