Ama Shippo Art Village: make an enamel accessory
Choose your colours and turn a small metal blank into an enamel accessory in the home of Owari cloisonné. Pair the workshop with the displays to appreciate the polished surfaces and painstaking craft.

What you will do
Apply colour to a prepared blank, such as the round white-base design in the 60-minute course, then have it fired and finished. Eligible round, heart and star pieces can become a pendant, keyring or strap. Take the finished piece home the same day.
Time: About 60 minutes for the basic round piece; technique and group size may extend the visit.

Getting there
Walk about 25 minutes from Meitetsu Shippo Station, take a roughly 5-minute taxi from Kida Station, or walk about 15 minutes from the Yasumatsu bus stop.

Before you choose a date
Closures: Normally closed Mondays, the weekday following a public holiday, and December 29–January 3. Official exhibition dates confirm that holiday Mondays open with a substitute closure. Check the official calendar around consecutive holidays. A separate 2026–27 New Year announcement was not located.
Language: An English facility introduction is available. English instruction or translated workshop sheets are unconfirmed; ask by phone.
- An October 23, 2026 official notice suspends website enquiry and application forms with no reopening date. Apply by phone at 052-443-7588 or at the counter. Groups of 10 or more must book ahead.
- This is a short introductory activity, not a full course carrying out every stage from wire-setting. Designs and blanks may change.
- The basic course’s minimum age, accompanying-adult conditions and cancellation terms are unconfirmed. Check when arranging a visit with children or a changeable itinerary.
- The prefectural tourism guide lists wheelchair loans, an accessible toilet and step-free facilities. Discuss the particular worktable and any assistance separately.
- An open museum day does not guarantee workshop access. Check the official homepage calendar of closures and unavailable workshop days.

Prices & timing
The round white-base piece costs ¥1,000. Permanent-gallery admission is separate: high-school age and above ¥310; elementary/junior-high students ¥100. Other projects have different prices.

Facility 09:00–17:00. Workshop reception 09:30–15:30, with a 12:00–13:00 lunch break. Planned starts: 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 and half-hourly from 13:00 to 15:30.
