Kamo Aquarium, Tsuruoka

Drift with jellyfish in a huge round tank, then look into their tiny early lives through microscopes. Kamo pairs a quiet visual experience with a closer look at jellyfish care and research.

What to see

JR Tsuruoka Station → your visit

  1. Take a Shonai Kotsu bus for Yunohama Onsen via Kamo, about 40 minutes, and alight at Kamo Suizokukan. The Zenpoji route does not stop at the aquarium.
  2. There is no direct public transport from Shonai Airport; bus journeys transfer at Tsuruoka Station. A taxi takes about 20 minutes. Address: 657-1 Okubo, Imaizumi, Tsuruoka.
