Motsuji Temple and Pure Land Garden
Walk beside Oizumi-ga-ike to discover the shore, standing stones and feeder stream of a Heian-period Pure Land garden. Although the great medieval temple buildings are gone, foundations and garden features preserve their setting. This World Heritage site offers a quiet historical walk within easy reach of Hiraizumi Station.
