Korekawa Jomon Museum, Hachinohe
Red and black lacquer, patterned pottery and a seated clay figure with clasped hands. Finds from Korekawa and Kazahari open a window onto Jomon life and craftsmanship.
What to see
- The National Treasure Gassho Dogu, a clay figure with clasped hands; a replica is shown during the announced display suspension.
- Films and excavated objects explaining the Korekawa site, plus a window into collection storage.
JR Hachinohe Station / central Hon-Hachinohe → your visit
- On weekends and public holidays, use the Korekawa Jomon Museum bus from Hachinohe Station east-exit stop 4. Weekday trips from that station require a transfer; buses toward Korekawa Danchi serve downtown terminal 3 (Chuo-dori). Check the official 2026 timetable.
- Address: 1 Yokoyama, Korekawa, Hachinohe. About 15 minutes by taxi from Hachinohe Station; free parking is available.
Closures & important conditions
